The October rise is confirmed at 4%, taking the typical cap to £1,723. For January, Ofgem has not confirmed anything yet, but newer forecasts are now materially higher: British Gas’s latest published forecast is around £2,160, roughly 25% above October, while MoneySavingExpert says current forecasts are for over 20%. Confidence is still low because the January assessment window is ongoing.
