Energy suppliers Enstroga, Igloo Energy and Symbio Energy have announced they are ceasing to trade, Ofgem announced on Wednesday the 29th of September 2021.

Together the suppliers represent less than one per cent of domestic customers in the market. Igloo Energy supplies gas and electricity to around 179,000 domestic customers, Symbio Energy to around 48,000, and Enstroga to about 6,500.

Under Ofgem’s safety net, the energy supply to all affected customers will continue and credit balances will be protected.

Domestic customers will also be protected by the energy price cap when being switched to a new supplier.

They are the latest to fall following an unprecedented increase in global energy prices.

If you’re already with the cheapest energy supplier in your area, you’ll find out immediately and there will be no need to switch. The only thing that you will have to do is make sure you are on their cheapest tariff.
