New analysis warns that energy bills are expected to rise by almost £1,300 in October.

In another cost of living crisis blow, analysts say that Ofgem’s price cap for average usage is likely to hit a whopping £3,244.

Energy prices are currently pegged at £1,971.

The 64 per cent hike is set to be followed by another rise in January, experts warn, when the cap is likely to reach £3,363 a year.
